SMS / SMMS Non Woven

SMS (Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond) is a tri laminate non woven fabric. It is made up of a top layer of spunbond polypropylene, a middle layer of meltblown polypropylene and a bottom layer of spunbond polypropylene.

The main difference between SMS and SMMS nonwoven fabric is the number of meltblown layers used in their production. SMS nonwoven fabric has one meltblown layers, while SMMS nonwoven fabric has two meltblown layers. This extra layer creates a denser, more absorbent, and more durable material.

Compared with normal polypropylene spunbonded non-woven fabrics, sms/ smms non-woven materials have high strength filtration efficiency, stronger barrier property, liquid penetration resistance, better air permeability, and better softness. So they are widely used in medical, sanitary and industrial fields.
